These are Junghans' new high end automatic watches with outstanding quality cases and straps. They feature Swiss high quality automatic mechanical movements and have sapphire glass crystals on the front and back so that the watchmaker’s filigreed workmanship is visible. All movements have special decorative touches that are traditional Junghans with blued screws and a Geneva stripe finish. The chronoscope's feature a highly finished valjoux 7750 movement.
The term chronoscope is used by Junghans in preference to chronometer since it is felt this is more accurate. The day is shown in German on all models befitting their german heritage. English date dials can be fitted. All watches can be supplied from stock.

The work of Max Bill was a continuous balancing act between free art and applied art, between severe, reduced forms and flowing natural ones, between philosophical thinking and practical application. Examining the subject of ”time” was a fascinating challenge for Max Bill, and one that occupied him for decades. A remarkable example of his work is a wall clock he designed for Junghans in 1956/57. Rarely has the interplay of hour and minute been portrayed in a more stylised and elegantly simple way than with this clock, which can be seen today in the world’s most important design museum – the museum of modern art. In 1962 Max Bill created mechanical wristwatches for Junghans – impressive timepieces, not only for their aesthetic design, but also for their precision.
